Bandana`s Barbecue in Mount Vernon

Amazing food ordered 2 days in a row. Will be ordering again before I leave. They have sauce to fit anyone's tastes from sweet and smoky to spicy (hot). Good portions for the $ you spend I feel like it's worth it.

Good food, good sauce, good sides, generous portions. Staff could visit table a bit more often. Outdoor seating could be improved

If you're in the area, THIS is the only place for BBQ. LOVE their ribs!

Ordered Beef...they were out of beef. Ordered coffee they lost part of their coffee pot so no coffee. Ordered a baked potato they were out of potatoes. I left and went somewhere else.

Food and service were both excellent! My BBQ Pork Salad was one of the best I've ever had at any of their locations. Will drive 55 miles to eat there again.

This is really good BBQ at ridiculously good prices. The ribs were juicy and tasted great with or without the various sauces.

Actually got to sit inside for dinner. Limited menu but still welcome change from curbside.

Bandana's always has great food, but as of right now they're only seating outside and in 90° weather with both elderly adults and and a baby with medical issues, sitting outside with no shade or umbrella in the blazing heat is rough!

The ribs here are so delicious fall of the bone delicious. The pulled pork was so moist that it did not need bbq sauce. The garlic bread was crisp and buttery. Bread here is not like what you get at other bbq restaurants. And the have boiled peanuts as a appetizer you dont even get that at a bbq restaurant in the south. The waitress was excellent checked on us frequently. And the restaurant was crowned but the service was still fast.

Ordering online and picking up the order was quick and easy. The portions are large. However the Beef was a bit tough and the Pork was dry. The sides were excellent though, as was the selection of sauces.

The waitresses seemed a little aloof although service was good. I think they could be a little warmer and interested in the customers. Still gave mine a good tip though! The food was great and is really good cooked BBQ. I always favor beef when I can get it as you can here. Would have liked to have tried a combination platter!

Food was ok, but hubby didnt feel too well that night...he had the wings.

I normally enjoy this restaurant, food is usually good. But on this visit, I could not get seated or waited on. They weren't really even that busy, which was frustrating. It was clear that on this night, they were very understaffed and the manager completely ignored me. Disappointed that I had to leave and go somewhere else. This manager needs to pay attention to detail and take care of the paying customers when they enter your door. I feel bad for the waitress who probably needed the tip that I would have left. Again, they were not that busy, only about four tables occupied. Hopefully they are better prepared next time.

Always good, no matter which location I stop at. Being from Texas I eat a lot of BBQ and Bandana's Ribs are the best I've had outside of the famous "Pit" in N. Carolina, always moist, tender and falling off the bone. Good portions, meat and sides. The young lady who waited on me at the Mt. Vernon location was all over the place, but always one step ahead of the folks she was tending to, my glass never went dry.

Super friendly service and great BBQ! The turkey was really moist and I really like the beef too. I love all the choices of sauces-- so much to mix and match! I also love that because I'm gluten-free, I don't need the bread that comes with the dinners, so this place gives me another side!! So awesome!

The celery salt on the green beans was a bit much for me (too strong /salty), but the rest of the food was good. What made it 5 stars for me instead of 4 was the service. The hostess was very polite, even held the door for us in the way out. Our server (Austin) was polite and friendly. Service was very fast. The restaurant has unique, interesting decor and is quite clean. I also enjoyed sampling the 6 different barbecue sauces that were at the table.

I asked for Memphis style sauce on to go order. I was given spicy(too hot). Food is great. Everytime I get to go orders there's always 1 thing wrong. Guess I need to always check order. No more tips on to go orders.

Service was prompt, and food was good. Fried okra was some off the best I've had. Southern pork sandwich had a good amount of smoked pork with a tangy coleslaw. Not quite the BBQ we get in the deep south, but was good and a nice break from driving.

I fully enjoyed the pulled chicken sandwich! It was perfectly cooked, juicy and delicious! My family had the combo platter with beef and pork, with fried okra and the pulled pork sandwich with applesauce and all were phenomenal! The staff did a great job navigating the tough times! Thanks so much for our amazing meals!

First time there, the smoked sausage was good. I enjoyed the garlic bread served with it as well.Waiter was super polite and the food came quick.

Pulled pork and beef were mushy. Usually pretty good. Maybe just a bad day.

Beef was very good and by the way it's not the BRISKET, regular beef. But tasted no worse than briskets. Tender, smoky and juicy. Waitress was very kind and sociable (hot as well 😍) Good place to eat. Will be back.

Decent BBQ, all the southern staples. Would give 5 stars but the waitress that closed the shift at my table with lousy service lost two of them. She was so concerned with closing the place 45 minutes before the actual closing time that she was going to take my plate with food still on it. She left the check early and said you can pay me. I felt very rushed by this second waitress. My first waitress was a doll.

Good BBQ = Bandana's!We just finished eating our carry out pulled Pork dinners. I had the traditional sides, potato salad and cole slaw (slaw was fresh but a bit dry). My Wife had baked potato (very fresh and hot) and Fried Okra (was outstanding!). The pork was pulled and chopped perfectly, juicy and great smoke flavor. The surprise was the Garlic toast. We could have ate many more slices. It was so good. Both meals were excellent.Bandana's was unknown to us until tonight, but I am so glad we gave it a try. Will be looking for them whenever we travel. Good value, fresh quality food and cold beer. The manager Dave was awesome. How can you beat that?

I have eaten at Bandanas BBQ several times, this time was not quite as pleasant.. I wasn’t super hungry so I ordered a sandwich. It was called the Wet Bandanna. When the waitress brought the food out I looked under the Texas toast and it look like a mound of pasty dark shredded meat.The flavor was completely off and the texture was worse. The potato salad was delicious. I normally don’t send food back. I should have this time because it was way beneath their normally great standards.

Good waitress that checked on us several times. She did ask if our food was ok. And I told her yes, before we really got to try it. But my pork sandwich was barely warm. If I'd had told her, I'm sure she would have made it right. A little disappointed.

Some guy in a gas station in Blytheville, Arkansas, had better bbq than this bland, corporate fare. "Smell the smoke" is their slogan, and not only did I not smell smoke, I didn't taste it either.

Okay. The meat did not have a smoked flavor, more of skillet flavor

The food was amazing and the service was amazing. I just love when the workers are not like robots. We had a super fun waitress who just made us feel welcome. She even asked our grandpa for his "autograph" when wanting his signature on the ticket. 😂 Will be back!

Edit review - we went there on Feb. 2020, during 5 pm, the place was packed, no wait to be seated though, normally (see below) fast and friendly servers... not tonight. We got seated... waited 10 minutes to get our drinks (wasn't even our waitress that took the order) and then another 5 or so minutes for our waitress to finally come to our table to take our order and then we never saw her again until we had to get the manager to bring us boxes and the check. Next to us the party didn't receive half of their drinks and then their salad was brought out with no silverware, they also had to get the manager to being them stuff... was all around horrible... the waitress claimed they only had 3 out of 5 waitress there tonight but we saw way more than that, so not sure exactly what was going on... Always fast service! Friendly servers! Hot/ great food!

Food was really good. Had the small plate with beef two sides-potato salad and baked beans- and garlic bread. The price was great for generous portion.

It was the first time we had tried this place. Food was good, service was fast, servers were friendly and helpful. Not bad on the prices either.
